It's been a busy time in the Hokanson household. AJ has grown so much and experienced many new things this month. I have been staying home with him while getting the house settled & looking for a job. I'm so glad to have this time with him!
He is definitely a handful... a good one... but a handful nonetheless. He chatters ALL the time (which I credit to his daddy and Grandma) and is CONSTANTLY on the move (also credited to his daddy and Grandma!) We're working on not pulling the vertical blinds and not playing drums on the VCR and DVD players. No is not a word that he's taking to so well. (The stubbornness he gets from me.) :-)
We had a lot of "new" lately. This month he:
* Took his first steps!!! I missed the first few, but have seen many more since!
* Said "ball" after crawling over and picking one up. Of course... most of the things he "says" sound like "ball". :-)
* Flew on his first plane without a delay!!
* Helped Mommy (and Grandma & Grandpa) pack up the house to move to Troy.
* Spent two weeks in a mainly empty house while waiting on our furniture to arrive.
* Went to his first football game! I'm proud to say it was a UAB vs. Troy game! We cheered for both teams! *shhh... don't tell our new Troy family...*
* Had his first black eye... so glad to get that out of the way... hope it's the last one we have to experience.
* Had his first bloody nose... it was a rough week!
* Had his first ear infection... poor kid! But... at least we now have a pediatrician in Troy.
Next month will mark our last monthly growth picture with Beauregard in the blue chair. It's getting more and more difficult to get him to sit still for any length of time... note the pictures below...
